Texting in School

Texting in school. It is a huge problem in schools today. Or so they say. Everyone is doing it. The funny thing is though that teachers probably catch us like 1/8th of the time. Like they never catch us when it is the most obvious. I swear the 1st day in gym last semester this kid (who was my ex so go figure I was watching him) had his phone out texting in the front row on the bleachers right in front of a teacher and the stupid teacher did not even see it. All he was doing was hiding it behind his hand, nothing else, and the teacher never caught him! What made it worse that there were two teachers! Teachers say it is a huge problem when students text in school, but there so oblivious to it. They only catch us when we try to be sneaky about it. Sometimes I wonder if the teachers do not really care if we text as long as they do not see it. I mean I think teachers are told to take our phones away and tell us not to text during school. I do not think they really care, but their boss tells them to take the phones away if they see it. I also think that the only reason teachers catch us and want to catch us is because they have to confiscate a certain number of phones like in a month or something. I don't know if we can get in trouble texting during passing time, but I have seen people texting pretty much right in the open in front of the office even and never get caught. I mean if you say texting in school is a big problem then work harder to stop it. That is if you teachers even care.
